When Gina Diamante was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2019, her first response was to search for information, and she found reasons to be hopeful and inspired. She shares that hope with other patients, mostly through online support groups, and continues to learn about the fight against myeloma. Based in Southern California, Gina is an award-winning news writer and editor. She’s also a pop culture fan whose role models are Batgirl, Lt. Uhura, and Princess Leia.
